Lake Camanche Resort features 550+ tent camping sites spread out over hundreds of acres which are available year-round at both North and South Shores.
Many sites offer immediate lake access while others are just a short walk away. Campsite amenities include bbqs, tables, water, hot showers, restrooms and laundry facilities. Primitive sites are just a short drive away to restrooms & showers. Ask you reservation agent for which sites provide shade.
All of our sites feature some of California’s best natural and native species of trees, plants and flowers. Looking for alcohol-free camping? Both shores also feature alcohol-free campgrounds, perfect for those in search of a more family-friendly camping experience.
GROUP CAMPING
Our group sites are the perfect spot for your group outing or family reunion. These sites are separate from our general camping areas, but still close to all the amenities, so you can be sure that all your camping time is quality time. Located within the campgrounds, we offer group sites close to all the amenities, so you can be sure that all your camping time is quality time.
At North Shore, one 12 person group campsite, one 24 person group campsite, and two 72 person group campsites may be reserved. Campsite amenities include BBQs, tables, water, restrooms with hot showers, and laundry facilities.

GROUP CAMPING
At South Shore, the Sugarloaf Group Campsite accommodates 64 campers. Gold Run Group Site #1 accommodates 80 campers. Gold Run Group Site #2 accommodates 88 campers, and Moccasin Group Site can accommodate 32 campers.
Both North and South shore features a conveniently located clubhouse available for meals, meetings, and social gatherings.

Equestrian Camping
TOP RATED EQUESTRIAN CAMPGROUND
All sites have picnic tables, a fire ring/BBQ grill, paddock for each horse, and lantern stands. The sites surround a group dining area with large bbqs, serving tables, and picnic tables to seat 40 people. Group campfire rings with benches to act as an amphitheater and an assembly area. There are horse wash stations, bins for horse waste, portable toilets and easy access to the Mokelumne Coast to Crest trail.

EQUESTRIAN CAMPING SITES
Turkey Hill is nestled in 16 acres of mature oak trees adjacent to the Mokelumne Coast to Crest trail staging area at Camanche South Shore.
It has 7 sites; 2 single family sites that accommodate a maximum of 8 persons with 2 vehicles, 2 trailers and 2 horses, 2 double sites and 2 triple sites that accommodate double and triple the single site capacity, and one quad site accommodating a maximum of 32 persons and 8 vehicles with trailers and 8 horses.
All sites have picnic tables, a fire ring/BBQ grill, a paddock for each horse, lantern stands and have close access to water. One of the single sites has wheelchair accessible facilities including a transfer platform to assist getting on and off horses.
The sites surrounding a group dining area with large BBQs, serving tables and picnic tables to seat 40 people, plus a group campfire ring with benches to act as an amphitheater and assembly area. These areas are also wheelchair accessible. This group use area also includes a regulation horseshoe pit. Other features of the campground include a horse wash station, bins for horse waste, portable toilets and easy access to the trail.
Showers, coin-operated laundry; an RV dump station and general store are available elsewhere in the park.
Equestrian campers, with trail permits, will have access to 28 miles of MCCT from the campground and can trailer their stock to Camanche North Shore for 5.1 miles of trail and a 3 mile loop. Work is completed on the MCCT segment that connected the trail at Camanche South Shore with the trail at the Camp Seco Trail staging area!
The camp is available by reservation to equestrians first and youth groups when not used by equestrians. Equestrian and Youth Groups will not use the camp at the same time.

Tent Cabins
North Shore has four tent cabins available for rent. Like the cottages, tent cabins offer a rustic getaway, with the bliss of comfort. These tent cabins are just that, tents, but with a deck structure, elevated, and covered. These cabins come with a bed, and a patio, and some stunning views of the water!

RV Camping
HOOKING YOU UP WITH FULL HOOK UPS!
Lake Camanche Resort offers both short-term and long-term RV Camping sites on the South Shore.
Showers and laundry facilities are located nearby. All RV’s staying within Monument and Miner’s Camp must be self-contained. Self-contained RV’s may also camp at North Shore. We also feature 20 undeveloped primitive sites (on-water) that can accommodate a tent or a self-contained RV.
Looking for other activities outside of the park? Lake Camanche is located within a half-hour to an hour drive to three golf courses, multiple wineries, casinos, old town shopping, caverns, zip lines, and lots more. See local attractions for additional information.

Monument RV Park has 99 spacious sites near four small fishing ponds and the lake. Recently renovated this park is located at South Shore featuring full hook-ups including 30 and 50 amp electrical service, picnic tables, and fire rings.

Miner’s Camp RV Park (Long-Term stay available) is nestled in the hillside and sits above the campgrounds. This park can be rented for up to 14 days or six months and is a short walk away from basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts. There are no fire rings available inside Miner’s Camp.

Cottages
The North Shore has eight – 1 bedroom duplex units and *1 ADA 2-bedroom unit. These units sit on rolling hills with mature trees and lake views. These units are simple but fully furnished rooms including kitchens and cooking utensils. Each unit features a large deck and outside furniture. There are two pet-friendly rooms (comes with a dish-washer) on North Shore. The cottages are located in the middle of the North shore park on the hill behind the park office with a short drive to marina, store or café.
The South Shore has six – 1 bedroom and *1 ADA 2-bedroom units that sit upon a grassy hillside with a western exposure overlooking the lake and campgrounds nestled under mature trees with spectacular sunset views. These units are simple but fully furnished rooms including kitchens and cooking utensils. Each unit features a large deck and outside furniture. There are three pet-friendly rooms on South Shore. The cottages are located on the North side of the park beyond the tennis and basketball courts, and are a short drive to the marina or store.

LOOKING FOR A PERMANENT VACATION ATMOSPHERE?
Here is your chance! Lake Camanche Recreation has three Mobile Home Parks located on site. Lake Camanche Park 1 and 2 are located on North Shore and Park 3 is located on South Shore.
We are proud to say that our Residents are friendly, the scenery is amazing, the weather is seasonably wonderful as we are above the fog and below the snow line. All Residents enjoy year discounts at our marina stores and on boat rentals. All three of our Mobile Home Parks offer their own charm, as none are identical.
Facility Details
Park 1 offers spectacular views of the lake and campgrounds. Residents enjoy easy access to the shoreline, beautiful mature shade trees, and great places for kids to play.
Park 2 has a beautiful serene setting, large mature trees, close to tennis court, basketball court as well as access to the China Gulch Trails. This also offers free boat parking in lieu of parking in the cul-de-sacs.
Park 3 is located on the South Shore with spectacular views of the lake and rolling Sierra Nevada Foothills. Imagine the view of Oak trees for miles! There is a privacy gate set up at the Mobile Home Park entrance in addition to the main gates. The interaction with wildlife in this park is amazing.
